Are you a barre fanatic and want to share your passion with the barre community?
We are in search of a West Coast Editor who would be responsible for sourcing, researching and writing stories that relate to events, activities and interests of barre enthusiasts on the West Coast of the United States. Geographically, it is 14 states and three time zones from Colorado to California, Hawaii and Alaska, too.
This position provides editorial support for thebarreblog.com. Responsibilities include writing and editing stories that captivate, entertain and inspire.
You are the ideal candidate if…
- You know how to identify high-impact stories that will connect with readers.
- You are on the pulse of what is happening in your neck of the woods and the greater fitness community.
- You can build and manage relationships with studio owners and fitness professionals.
This position will report to a managing editor. You can work remotely, ideally in any of the US states listed below.
Region: Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Idaho, Utah, Nevada, Washington, Oregon, California, Alaska, Hawaii.
Workload: File 1-2 stories per month.

Required skills/experience
- Editing and writing experience, preferably in the fitness and/or lifestyle sector.
- Team player with a positive outlook.
- Passion for fitness/wellness, and of course barre!
Preferred additional skills:
- An understanding of Associated Press style guide.
- A good eye for design and style in the digital space.
