Before you head out to barre class in the morning, fuel up with this simple overnight oats recipe you can make in minutes or prepare the night before.
What I love about this recipe is that you can always change up the ingredients. I’ve listed a lot of ingredients as optional because I love mixing and matching with different flavours and textures.
Ingredients:
- Rolled oats (1/2 cup)
- Chia seeds (1/4 cup)
- Banana (1 whole banana)
- Almond milk (about 1 cup or enough to cover the dry ingredients)
- Honey or agave syrup (1 teaspoon)
- Cinnamon (1 teaspoon)
Optional Ingredients: (Add these for more flavour and texture)
- Nutmeg (1 teaspoon)
- Cardamon (1 teaspoon)
- Silvered almonds (1 tablespoon)
- Goji berries (1 tablespoon)
- Cocoa nibs (1 tablespoon)
- Coconut – unsweetened (1 tablespoon)
- Strawberries (4 large berries cored and thinly sliced)
Mix all the ingredients together until they are thoroughly combined and let sit in the fridge overnight or eat right away!
