Asia-Pacific Editor

Are you a barre fanatic and want to share your passion with the barre community?
We are in search of a Asia-Pacific Editor who would be responsible for sourcing, researching and writing stories that relate to events, activities and interests of barre enthusiasts in select areas of Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Geographically, it is 14 countries.

This position provides editorial support for thebarreblog.com. Responsibilities include writing and editing stories that captivate, entertain and inspire.

You are the ideal candidate if…

  • You know how to identify high-impact stories that will connect with readers.
  • You are on the pulse of what is happening in your neck of the woods and the greater fitness community.
  • You can build and manage relationships with studio owners and fitness professionals.

This position will report to a managing editor. You can work remotely, ideally in any of the countries listed below.

Region: Australia, China, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Taiwan, Thailand.

Workload: File 1-2 stories per month, up to 10 hours per month.

Qualifications

Required skills/experience:

  • Editing and writing experience, preferably in the fitness and/or lifestyle sector.
  • Team player with a positive outlook.
  • Passion for fitness/wellness, and of course barre!

Preferred additional skills:

  • An understanding of Associated Press style guide.
  • A good eye for design and style in the digital space.
